Three of Bollywood's hottest men were seen walking the ramp for famous designer buddies.John Abraham, Bollywoods bootilicious hunk was the show stopper for Rocky S. He made a perfect entry in a grey pin striped three piece suit! The designer made a tremendous impact with his classic glam meets Goth mens wear collection.
Rocky has moved from female to the male realm of fashion with a collection that was reminiscent of an old world charm that brought together diverse themes as gothic, punk and guess what, vintage vampire wedding attire!
Classic sharply cut suits in masculine tones of black, steel, grey, deep blue, lush violet moved to wine, beige and ivory.
Rich luxurious fabrics were the base as glittering brocades jacquards, textured striped silk blends, hounds tooth, gabardine, tweed, felt, German birds eye and even some very interesting upholstery material was turned into very avant garde mens wear. Detailing was unconventional with elbow patches or lace borders on cuffs, collars, lapels on backs of jackets and pockets which added a touch of drama to the clothes.
Pratiek Babbar for Kunal Rawal To the rocking beat of the Ankur Tiwari and the Galat Family Band, the finale and showstopper was the young rising star, Pratiek Babbar of Jane Tu Ya Jane Hum fame, who happily strode down the runway in a cream suit and tunic.
Cuba was the popular inspiration for Kunal Rawals collection presented by Mahindra Rodeo, the newly launched 125 cc Power Scooter from the Mahindra Two Wheelers.
From the colourful Guayabera shirts of Cuba with distinct Indian elements to the military influences of that countrys cuts and embroideries; Kunal Rawals mens wear was a vibrant mix of Indian and Cuban sensibilities. With organic muslin, linen, denim and cotton, the look was a perfect comfortable summer offering which the trendy men will appreciate.
Shreyas for Digvijay Singh and Troy Costa Shreyas Talpade made a traditional entry on the ramp. The finale outfit that he donned was a dusty brown piped kurta with an overlapping collar.
Digvijay Singhs organic unisex line was impressive. Using his favourite pure organic blends of natural banana, orange, flex and hemp fibres, Digvijay Singh for Bhusattva had a unisex collection in a discreet shade card of yellow, ink, brown, grey, ash and wax all tinted with herbal dyes. The inspirations were surprisingly magical characters like genies, pirates, magicians and warriors but the garments reflected a somewhat Zen like feel. The silhouettes were comfortable and casual.
